Summit Contracting Group celebrated the Grand Re-Opening of an expansion and renovation for the Baxter E. Luther Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida, located in Arlington. This new expansion accommodates more learning programs and allows more access for the children and teens in Arlington.
The event was attended by the project partners and families who have been life-long supporters of this club campus and who generously contributed to the expansion project.
Two young club members recited the Mission and Club Code (https://www.bgcnf.org/mission-vision) to kick off the event and remind us what it’s for – the club members!
It is a place where all the members come and join to be as one. As a member, I’ve learned how to express myself and not be so nervous. We have fun and grow together as a family.
This is what a community coming together looks like. There were close to 30 companies involved in the construction of this expansion, and each one contributed either some or all of their services to this project.
With over 50 years serving the Jacksonville Community, Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida was chartered on July 23, 1962. Today, Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida has expanded to 28 Clubs across Northeast Florida, serving over 2,800 Club members every weekday in Duval, St. Johns County and Alachua counties.
