We are taking a closer look at the multifamily construction market in Hall County, Georgia. There are several factors that make this an ideal location for new apartment developments.
Located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains and surrounded by Lake Sydney Lanier, is the lively City of Gainesville, Georgia. One of the fastest growing metropolitan areas in the United States. Next to it, is the growing City of Oakwood.
According to the Gainesville-Hall Economic Development Report, 2021 brought 16 new and expanded businesses to the area, adding 1,300 jobs (GHCC Pg. 2). As the population rises, the need for housing is apparent in the growing neighborhoods. 20 multifamily developments were underway as of early 2022, consisting of more than 3,300 new units (GHCC Pg.4).
The area in North Georgia is a top retirement destination as well as a home to students attending the University of North Georgia – Gainesville (UNG) one of the top public universities in the state.
